Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must implement effective governance systems which enables it to oversee the service, identify and address areas for improvement to ensure that service users receive high quality and person-centred care. These systems must include the following to ensure that improvements made are sustained and embedded in practice:
� The Registered Provider must ensure that your staff have the required training and competency assessments and skills to use specialist equipment, safely and appropriately so that risks to service users are managed effectively. To include but not limited to specialist mattresses.
� The Registered Provider must ensure that your monitoring systems recognise when staff are not following safe moving and handling practice. Systems in place must ensure that staff training in moving and handling enables staff to carry out their duties safely and effectively.
� The Registered Provider must ensure that audits carried out on records relating to the management of medicines include confirmation that service users have received their medicines as prescribed and that systems in place ensure that all prescribed medicine are kept in stock and available to service users.
� The Registered Provider must confirm that it has assessed the work place fire safety arrangements and that any actions or improvements identified are acted on.
� The Registered Provider must ensure that service users care records are accurately maintained and show evidence of care given. The provider must address any area of need or area of risk.
� The Registered Provider must ensure that an analysis of all incidents and accidents takes place and that systems are in place to mitigate any future risks to service users.
� The Registered Provider must ensure that when issues are identified through their quality monitoring system that there is a system in place to show what action was taken and by whom to mitigate any risks to service users.

The Registered Provider must send CQC a report setting out what actions have been taken to improve and sustain the quality of the care provided. This report must include a summary of the governance actions put in place or taken, and any action planned to sustain improvements. The report must be received by the Care Quality Commission within two weeks of the condition coming into effect and subsequent, updated reports must also be sent on the first Monday of each month thereafter.
