Our view of the service
Carepoint Service is registered to provide personal care and support to people living in their own homes. At the time of the inspection, there were 229 people using the service. The assessment commenced on 6 February 2024 and was completed on 22 March 2024. The inspection was carried out by 2 inspectors, 1 assessor and 2 Experts by Experience. An Expert by Experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service. We completed a site visit on 6 February 2024. We looked at the following quality statements; safeguarding, involving people to manage risks, safe and effective staffing, independence, choice and control and equity in experiences and outcome. We later added, evidence of compliance with schedule 3 and fit and proper person requirements being met. Following the assessment, the service has received an overall rating of good for the quality statements assessed.
People's experience of this service
During the assessment, we received feedback from people who used the service and their relatives. We received positive feedback about the care they received. Most people and their relatives told us staff turned up on time for their visits. However staff would notify people if they were going to be late, and they would stay for the full length of time for their visit.
