During a routine inspection
We received positive comments about the staff team from people that lived at the home and a visiting relative. The relative told us, 'I cannot fault the staff they are all friendly and helpful'. One person that lived in the home told us, 'The staff are very kind, they always come when I need them".
People told us that they felt safe in the home and were able to report any concerns they had. Two people told us, 'They (staff) always take the time to listen to us' and 'If there is a problem they (staff) will always do something about it'. People told us that they were asked for their views on the service the home provided.
Care records we examined showed that people's needs had been assessed before they moved into the home. We saw that care plans (called action plans by the service) had been developed to describe how people liked and needed to be supported.
We looked around the home and saw that people's bedrooms were homely and comfortable. People had been supported to personalise their bedrooms. People we spoke with told us that they were happy with their bedrooms. One person commented, 'It's not your own house but it is lovely and comfortable'.
