During a routine inspection
They said they were offered a degree of choice about what time they received care. They said this could be limited in practice because of the demands upon care workers' time.
All of the seven people we spoke with were positive about the flexibility of care workers and their willingness to 'do extras' as one person put it. They all told us they felt their care workers respected them and maintained their dignity whilst providing care.
People told us they were very happy with their care. "I have had no missed calls and I have the same three care workers most weeks" one person said.
People were satisfied with the time spent by their care workers and told us in every case that they found their carers reliable, with only minor variations to their times of arrival.
"I can't praise them enough" one person said.
When asked, people who used the service confirmed they felt safe. They said they would talk to 'the office' if they had any problems at all. One person said that the fact that they had a settled team of care staff providing their care was 'a great comfort' to them.
People said that they had opportunity to comment on the quality of their care when care supervisors carried out spot checks. They told us they were confident they could ring the office at any time. Two people said they thought they had completed a survey form some time ago.
