Outpatients services were a small proportion of hospital activity. The main service was surgery. Where arrangements were the same, we have reported findings in the surgery section.
We rated this service as good because it was safe, caring, responsive and well-led. Although some elements in the safe domain require improvement, the overall standard of service provided outweighs those concerns. Therefore, we have deviated from our aggregation rating of the safe key question to rate this service in a way that properly reflects our findings and avoids unfairness. We do not rate effective for outpatients.
