During a routine inspection
We saw that the clinic is situated in a private health club and there was adequate parking.
The clinic was all on the ground floor and accessible to people in wheelchairs.
People told us that they had been able to have an appointment on the same day that they
contacted the clinic. We saw that appointment were available in the evenings and on
Saturdays to accommodate people's needs.
We saw that the clinic was clean and in good decorative order but noted that due to the
limitations of the space there was no access to fresh air and no outside windows.
One person attending the clinic told us that their treatment had been "great" and that they
found the clear information very reassuring. Another person told us that the sonographer
had been "really reassuring" and the experience had been "really good". Both people
attending the clinic told us that they had attended the clinic previously and following their
positive experience had chosen to return.
We considered that there was a lack of rigor with regard the recording of aspects of clinical
assurance as well as confirmation of training and formal appraisal.
We observed staff talking to people in a friendly; professional and calm way and people
said that they felt that staff showed them respect.
We saw that people were asked for feedback on their treatment and that comments received were considered and changes made if necessary.
