During an inspection looking at part of the service

We carried out an inspection in February 2012 as part of our routine schedule of planned reviews. We identified concerns with standard 7 safeguarding of vulnerable adults. We made a compliance action asking the provider to take action in order that we were reassured that people were in receipt of safe and adequate care with regard to standard 7.

The provider sent us an action plan and information in June 2012 stating the action they had taken.

We carried out a review of the information sent to us by Mr Munro and on this occasion we did not speak with people who use the service about these outcomes.

We haven't been able to speak with people using the service on this occasion as we did not visit the surgery. We looked at information that the provider sent us regarding training and policies.

During a routine inspection

People were positive about the service that they received from Highland Road Dental Practice. People told us that they received a friendly service; that they were kept informed, and offered information and choice about their treatment.
