Date of assessment 1 May to 10 May 2024. Blue Crystal Agency is a is a domiciliary care service, providing care to people living in their own home. The service provides support to older people some of whom were living with dementia. At the time of our assessment the agency was supporting 4 people. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do we also consider any wider social care provided. We assessed a total of 5 quality statements from the safe, responsive, and caring key questions. We spoke with 2 relatives and 3 staff including the registered manager. We reviewed several service records, including care plans, risks assessment for 3 people and recruitment files for 3 staff. Following our site visit we reviewed a range of service records including, staff training and supervision records, customer satisfaction questionnaires, accident and incident logs, complaints and safeguarding logs and policies/procedures. We did not assess all quality statements at this assessment. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating. We did not identify breaches of any Regulations during this assessment. We will continue to monitor information we receive about the service, which will help inform when we next assess them. Following this assessment the service continues to be rated good. This was because people received care that was safe and met their needs. The provider had effective systems to ensure staff were safely recruited, people were protected from harm and abuse. Peoples were involved in their care and were able to make decisions. Staff were well trained and competent in their role.
