During a routine inspection
On the day of our inspection the reception area was clean and bright. The service employed a cleaner who carried out a deep clean of the premises on a weekly basis. The reception staff cleaned the communal areas whilst the dental nurses were responsible for the cleaning of each treatment room before and between people being treated.
We saw that the dentists and dental practitioners completed the required amount of continuous professional development to maintain their professional registrations. Staff received annual appraisals of their work.
The service administrator told us that 30 survey forms for each dentist were sent to people who used the service every six months. A summary of a survey completed in March 2013 showed that the people were very satisfied with the quality of the service provided. One comment we saw stated, "Professional, clean practice. Good customer service."
