During a routine inspection
Two of the people told us that they had been recommended the dental surgery by friends of theirs. Since they had been coming to the surgery they were very happy with the care and treatment they had received and had recommended the surgery to others.
People told us they were fully involved in the decisions about their dental care and treatment. They said that the dentist always discussed treatment options and cost with them to help them make an informed decision.
We saw that the practice was clean and well organised and that staff had a good understanding of infection control procedures. We found that there were arrangements in place to ensure that equipment was kept clean and ready for use. People we spoke with said that the surgery was always clean and tidy.
There were arrangements for monitoring the quality of the service and people who used the practice were encouraged to provide feedback about the surgery.
There was a complaints policy and procedure in place to ensure any complaints were recorded and responded to in a timely manner.
