During a routine inspection
Patients told us they were satisfied with the care and treatment provided by the staff team.
"I have been coming for over thirty years and that says something...I am very satisfied with all aspects of the care."
"I am new to the practice but I have no complaints. I was asked about my health and dental history when I started coming. I have had some treatment and it was pain free and very good".
A child said:
" I got a sticker today because I saw the dentist".
"I have been a patient since I was 16...only had one filling in all these years. I am pleased with the care I have had to keep my teeth in a good state."
We saw that the practice was able to care for patients with special needs. They had good provision for patients with disabilities. We had evidence to show that the staff team were aware of the need to safeguard vulnerable patients from harm.
We checked the arrangements for infection control and cleaning of instruments. These were in order.
All the staff had good levels of training in areas such as clinical practice, safeguarding, infection control and fire safety. Everyone in the practice kept their professional development up to date.
There were systems to ensure that quality monitoring was undertaken. We saw that the provider had made changes when patients made suggestions for improvements.
