We did not visit the service for this inspection, and we did not speak to people who used the service. We asked the provider to tell us, with evidence, how they had achieved compliance with this outcome.

We found people were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed and people who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

During a routine inspection

During our visit we spoke with five people who were visiting for treatment or examination. Comments included the practice is 'excellent' ,'I always find them fine', and 'If you were ever unhappy with your dentist you could change to another'. One person told is that 'they sometimes put you on hold when you call in'. One person told us that they were seen the same day when they called for an emergency appointment. We were told by one patient that the dentist did not provide any information to their children about oral health; they told us that their new dentist did not have the same rapport with children as their previous dentist at the practice who had recently retired.

People we spoke to were complimentary about the staff team at the practice, and felt that they were spoken to in a dignified and respectful manner.
