During a routine inspection
People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan. Treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. Interpreters were used to inform people and receive information from people so that people received appropriate treatments.
People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. The areas accessible to people were clean and free from any offensive smells. The staff followed appropriate procedures to protect people from the risk of infection.
Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work at the clinic. The staff we spoke with and the documents made available to us confirmed this.
The provider had systems to monitor the service. One person said, 'If we have anything to say we can suggest it to the staff. If we are not happy with what happens to us we speak with the dentist or the nurses. I am happy with the arrangements.' There was useful and informative information displayed within the clinic. However, the language did not reflect the different ethnic groups accessing the clinic. The practice manager has agreed to address this.
