During a routine inspection
During our inspection we spoke with one dentist, two dental nurses, a trainee dental nurse and the practice co-coordinator. We looked at the records for six people who had used the service. Following our visit we spoke with seven people over the telephone, so that we could gain their views of the service provided.
People we spoke with had no concerns about the care and treatment they had received from their dentists. One person told us " I have every confidence in my dentist he makes you feel relaxed". and another said "They explain everything to you I am very happy with the service I get".
We found that people received the care and treatment they needed and records detailed the treatment people had received.
We saw one treatment room that was clean and well organised. People we spoke with told us in their experience the dental practice was always clean. Some people told us that the visitor's toilet needed painting so that it was a nicer environment for people to use.
People told us that the staff were friendly and helpful. We saw that systems were in place to support staff in their role.
There were some systems in place to monitor how the practice was run although some improvements were needed so the provider could be confident that people received a quality service.
