During a routine inspection
We saw that NHS costs were clearly displayed in the practice.
We saw that dentists and dental nurses were trained to deal with medical emergencies.
Patients told us that the premises were always clean and that dentists and dental nurses wore protective clothing whilst carrying out their treatment. We saw that there were appropriate procedures in place for the control of infection and that the decontamination of instruments had been carried out safely.
All of the staff at the practice had a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check in place and this evidenced that they were considered safe to work with vulnerable people. The staff we spoke with told us that they felt supported and that they felt confident in undertaking their work.
We saw that there was a complaints procedure in place and that this was displayed in the main reception area.
