During a routine inspection
Patients confirmed that options for treatment were discussed with them and a 'full explanation' was given. Patients felt involved in the planning stages of their treatment and said that they were given 'plenty of information' and this meant that they could make an informed choice. They confirmed that when appointments were made 'I am asked about the time and offered choice' and that the appointments ran 'on time'.
Patients told us that the dentist was 'doing a good job'. One person whose child was receiving orthodontic treatment said that they were 'very impressed after only six weeks'. People referred to the dentist on duty as their 'favourite dentist' and were confident in the quality of the service provided. A patient said that the dentist was 'the best ever'. Other members of staff working for the practice were described as 'honest and helpful'. One person commented that 'this is a very good dentist for those afraid of dentists'.
People were asked when they completed a survey form whether the standard of cleanliness in the practice was satisfactory. High scores were given. During the inspection visit all areas seen were clean and tidy.
