During a routine inspection
The service had a policy for safeguarding people from the risk of abuse. The provider had provided staff with training and staff we spoke with had a good awareness of how to identify and report abuse.
The environment was clean and hygienic. There were systems in place which ensured the appropriate decontamination of instruments and equipment was carried out.
Staff were supported in their roles and given opportunities to update their professional development. One staff member told us, 'There's lots of support.'
There was a complaints procedure in place. However, due to no complaints being received we were unable to review its effectiveness. Staff and people who used the service were aware of the procedure. People who used the service told us that they had not needed to make a complaint.
