During an inspection looking at part of the service

We carried out this inspection to see if the provider had made improvements to recruitment procedures since our last visit in June 2012. At that visit we spoke with three people who use the service. All three people told us they felt safe at the service and never seen anything of concern. One person told us 'I have never seen any bad care. I used to be worried about coming but since the change of dentist I feel fine'. Another person told us 'my granddad didn't go to the dentist for 40 years but he feel safe and supported here and is happy to come now'.

At that visit all three told us they felt the practice was clean. One person told us 'I'm a bit of clean freak, when I walked in I thought this is nice and clean and tidy'.

All three people told us staff always wore gloves and other protective clothing to prevent cross contamination and ensured people who use the service wore protective goggles and apron. This was confirmed by our observation on the day. One person told us 'its quite reassuring that they do that

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who used the service. All three told us staff were friendly and approachable and spoke to them in a respectful way. They also told us staff treated them with dignity and communicated well.

They all told us they felt the practice delivered care and treatment in a way that met their needs and felt safe when they had treatment and had never seen anything of concern.

We asked them about the cleanliness of the practice; all three told us they felt the practice was clean. One person told us 'I'm a bit of clean freak, when I walked in I thought this is nice and clean and tidy'.
