During a routine inspection
The price and the fees structure was on display in the reception and the waiting room. People we spoke with said they were aware of how much treatment would cost.
People that we spoke with were positive about the care they received at the practice. They told us that the dentist was clear and took their time in explaining the various treatment options available to them. One person told us 'the dentists are friendly'.
In the event of an emergency, the practice had an emergency drugs kit, including a defibrillator, on site. The drugs kit contained instructions on how to administer medication. We saw staff training files and saw evidence that staff had completed training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
We looked at staff files for people employed at the practice. All dentists, dental nurses and hygienists were registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). We saw evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) training that staff completed while working at the practice.
People we spoke with told us 'the practice manager is approachable, if I had any concerns then I would not hesitate to complain'.
