During a routine inspection
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that met people's individual needs and ensured their safety and welfare. One person said, "I am always given enough information, I trust the staff." People's views were taken into account and recorded in their personalised treatment plan.
There were effective measures in place to ensure that people were protected against identifiable risks of acquiring health associated infection. These were carried out in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Health.
People employed by the service were suitably experienced and skilled. The provider carried out appropriate checks prior to employment and provided induction training for new staff. Staff undertook ongoing training and development. This ensured people received safe care and treatment.
The provider regularly assessed and reviewed the quality of the service through patient and staff feedback, safety checks and audits. Feedback was welcomed and acted upon. This meant that the provider was enabled to come to an informed view about the standard of care and treatment provided.
