During a routine inspection
One person we spoke with said they had been given appropriate information and support regarding their care and treatment. We were informed that they had received verbal and written information which had been tailored specifically to their needs. For example: they had been given advice on how to care for their teeth after dental work had been completed.
We were told by one person that the dentist identified and discussed treatment options and before the treatment commenced verbal consent had been obtained. They said that they had been involved in and had agreed their treatment plans. The person said he had been given a copy of the treatment plan to take away and it had included information about the costs of the suggested treatment.
