During an inspection in response to concerns
The people we spoke with felt they had their needs assessed thoroughly and were only offered treatment when appropriate. One person told us the dentist was, 'Very helpful. Let me keep my own teeth as long as I possibly could.' Another person said her children also used the service. When we asked if the dentist explained treatment to them so they understood, she said she thought they did.
When we asked if they had given consent to treatment, they all said they had. They told us they had been given enough information to give informed consent. One person added that she thought the dentist had been particularly careful to ensure she understood what she was agreeing to when her children were receiving treatment.
People told us they thought the service was clean. They noticed that the dentists wore disposable gloves and other protective clothing to prevent cross contamination. Those who had treatment said they had been asked to wear protective clothing and glasses during treatment.
