During a routine inspection

We spoke to three patients who all told us that they were very happy with the care and treatment afforded them. They had never had any reason to complain and found the staff friendly and helpful. They also told us it was easy to get an appointment.

We found that the staff had a good knowledge of cross infection control and had been well trained in this area. We had observed them carrying out the decontamination process in line with national guidelines (HTM01-05).

We found that the dentists were using the national clinical guidelines in their approach to recalling patients and in the prescribing of antibiotics. They were also writing their notes contemporaneously with full details of the treatment carried out.

The staff told us that they felt well supported in their work and were able to continue their professional development in line with current General Dental Council (GDC) regulations.
