During a routine inspection

Due to the nature of the service provided we did not have the opportunity to speak with people who used the service as part of our inspection. However we looked at the responses people had given to the provider's satisfaction survey. The survey looked at areas such as waiting times, quality of treatment, quality of advice given and behaviour of staff. We saw that all areas surveyed had received a score of either good or excellent. Comments received included: 'Happy with service. Thank you' and 'Very good dentist!'

Other feedback received stated: 'the dentist was just so professional, gentle and listened to my concerns, explaining how to resolve my queries'The dental nurse was kind and smiley and made me feel at ease'.

We found that Dr Benjamin Atkins ' Ashton OOH had suitable arrangements in place for obtaining and acting in accordance with the consent of people who used the service.

People who used the service experienced safe, effective and appropriate care and treatment that met their needs and protected their rights and people were protected from the risk of abuse.

We saw that all areas of the clinic were clean and tidy. There were policies in place in relation to infection control and there were clear procedures in place for the decontamination of equipment. The provider had an effective system to regularly assess, identify and manage risks relating to the health, safety and welfare of people who used the service.
