During a routine inspection
We found that Ancoats Old Mill Street clinic provided service users with appropriate information and support in relation to their treatment. Treatment was provided in a way that maintained people's privacy and dignity, by competent and properly trained staff.
People told us that their treatment options had been clearly explained to them. One person said, 'He (the dentist) said he knew what the problem was and explained what needed to happen'.
People also told us they found staff polite and respectful. They said, 'They're lovely, really nice staff'. And, 'They're nice'.
We found people were protected from the risk of infection. We saw that the treatment rooms and waiting areas appeared clean and tidy. There were policies in place in relation to infection control and there were clear procedures in place for the decontamination of equipment.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess, identify and manage risks relating to the health, safety and welfare of people who used the service.
