During a routine inspection
We looked at a sample of four patient records which demonstrated that at each visit general health details and medications were updated and soft tissue and palette examinations were noted.
We spoke with three patients during the inspection who all spoke positively about their experiences each time they had visited the practice. Comments included; 'I'm very happy with my treatment so far' and 'I do have some allergies and all of that is checked when I come for my appointment' and 'They always talk me through everything. It's always very clean. They give me a bib and some goggles and the staff always wear gloves and seem to wash their hands' and 'I'm here for an emergency appointment today. I damaged my teeth yesterday and it was a really quick process to get in'.
The practice had effective systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. Audits were undertaken on a regular basis which included x-rays, infection control, patient records and medical histories.We noted there was a complaints and comments box available in reception for people to use.
