During a routine inspection
People undergoing treatment told us, they found the staff to be friendly and reported that they were treated with respect and their privacy was maintained at all times. People commented,' '. has been my dentist for many years. He's really friendly, yet professional. If I didn't think he was a good dentist I would go somewhere else. We are on first name terms, which is good. I trust him and have confidence in him'
We were also told the environment was clean and child friendly, 'I work in the building trade so I looked at the state of the building when I first came. Everything is well maintained and I see it that way at every visit'. We were told that people received treatment that suited their needs. One person said, 'Treatment is always explained in simple terms. I know the difference between an implant and a crown. How many patients tell you that'.
We found suitable arrangements were in place to protect people from abuse and the risk of abuse. Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work.
We also found an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety of people using the service and others.
