During a routine inspection
One told us that the service was 'just fantastic' saying that they had used it for over 30 years. They said the dentist gave 'good advice' on hygiene and prevention but that the decisions were always the patient's. They commented that during treatment they were always made aware of what was taking place and they specifically noted that their dentist was 'very good with kids'. They told us that any fees were explained well. We asked about cleanliness in the practice and they told us it was 'top rate'. They also said that staff always wore personal protective equipment and that this was also made available to them as a patient.
A second patient told us they received 'fantastic treatment' and they also said the service was 'outstanding'. They further told us they were anxious about treatment and that the dentist was 'helpful' with this issue and treated them 'with respect'. They felt the personal touches in the surgery gave it a 'homely feel' and that it was 'less clinical' and 'not threatening'. They also commented that as a parent of a patient they were satisfied and that the dentists had a 'very pleasant, professional way'. This person told us that there were 'no problems' with hygiene.
A third person to whom we spoke said that the dentists had 'helped a lot with teeth over the years' and that they were 'very patient'. They said that the dentists provided personalised oral hygiene and prevention information to suit their individual circumstances. They told us there were no aspects of the service that caused them concern.
