Our view of the service
We had previously undertaken a comprehensive inspection under our previous methodology of Court Drive Dental Practice on 1 December 2023 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing safe, effective and well-led care and was in breach of regulations 12, 17, 18 and 19 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. An announced focused inspection was carried out on 15 March 2024 to review the actions taken by the providers in response to our findings on 1 December 2023. At this follow up inspection we found that while some improvements had been made, a number of concerns remained outstanding. We found that the provider was still not providing well-led care and remained in breach of regulation 17 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow up focused on-site assessment on 16 August 2024. This assessment was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks and recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Court Drive Dental Practice is in Uxbridge, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There is level access to the practice for people who use wheelchairs and those with pushchairs. The practice had 4 treatment rooms. During the follow-up assessment we spoke with 1 dental nurse and the practice manager.
