During a routine inspection
People said that their treatment and charges were explained to them in a way they understood. They felt able to ask questions about their treatment to ensure they knew what to expect. One person told us," The dentist always tells me what treatment needs to be done and what I need to do to maintain my dental health after treatment."
The dental practice was visibly clean and provided a hygienic environment to be treated in. One person said, "The staff are very thorough with cleanliness. I have stayed in the surgery between the treatment of my children and seen the cleaning and disinfecting they carry out." There were effective decontamination processes in place.
Staff were appropriately supported through thorough induction, training and development. Formal supervision had recently been put in place with a view to informing six-monthly and annual appraisal.
There was an effective complaints process in place.
