During a routine inspection
We looked at the treatment record of three people who used the service. These showed that people had been asked to complete a full medical history form before they received treatment and this was updated at subsequent visits.
On the day of our inspection the reception area was clean and bright. We spoke with one of the dental nurses who explained the cleaning processes they completed at the start of the day, between people being treated and at the end of the day.
We noted that the practice had been refurbished recently and presented a pleasant and clean environment which promoted peoples wellbeing.
We saw that the provider had appropriate infection control measures in place. Staff were supported in their roles and attended training as required. There were a number of monitoring procedures in place and audits were regularly completed as part of the overall monitoring of the service.
