During a routine inspection
People that used the practice told us that they were happy with the quality of treatment received. They felt they were given enough information about their treatment options and were able to ask all the questions they wanted to. One person spoken with said, 'The dentist explained everything to me. I trusted his judgement.'
We observed that the practice was clean and tidy and people we spoke with told us that this was also the case when they attended their dental appointments. One person told us, 'You definitely can't fault the cleanliness. There's not a speck of dust to be seen.'
When we looked at training records we saw evidence that the dentist and dental nurses had been professionally trained to the level their positions required. We also saw that they had completed training in other appropriate courses.
People we spoke with knew how to complain but had never had cause to do so. They told us they would speak to the dentist if they were unhappy with anything. We saw there were leaflets available in the waiting rooms which gave people information on how to make a complaint. One person commented, 'I'd speak up if I was unhappy about the service, but I've nothing to grumble about as I know I get a first class service.'
