During a routine inspection
People who used the service were protected from harm because staff were trained in both safeguarding and managing medical emergencies. We viewed certificates as evidence of this. Emergency medication was available and checks took place to ensure that it was kept in date.
The procedures in place met with the requirements of the Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM). This is the guidance that dentists must follow to ensure that their procedures minimise the risks of cross infection. There were systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service provided and this included gathering feedback from people and managing complaints.
