We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 13 August 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks which required some improvements. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures broadly followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 2 dentists, 2 visiting specialists which provide endodontics and oral surgery, 2 trainee dental nurses, 4 dental therapists, 1 practice manager and 1 receptionist. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with the principal dentist, 1 trainee dental nurse and the practice manager. On the day of on-site assessment, we identified some concerns but the provider addressed them in a timely manner, and we have assurances that improvements are ongoing.
