During a routine inspection
We observed the staff and saw and heard them treat people with dignity and respect. People told us they were offered a choice of appointments and consent was obtained from them before dental treatment commenced. The doors to rooms were closed when treatment was taking place. The staff told us they carried out full mouth assessments and discussed all necessary treatment options with people so they could make an informed decision. People who use the service confirmed this.
People were greeted and escorted to and from the treatment room and their treatment and the charges were fully explained to them. Staff explained and demonstrated how they decontaminated and sterilised equipment after use. We saw that equipment was serviced and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers' guidelines.
