During a routine inspection
People having treatment told us, they found the staff to be friendly, they were treated with respect and their privacy was maintained at all times. People commented, 'I have known Mr Hurst for over thirty years. I was treated by him before he moved to Grismargh. I wanted to stay with him because of his professionalism. I only need routine check ups as the advice you receive is excellent".
We were also told the staff were 'very nice, I have been coming here for two years now and feel I know them all really well and they know me. They know I get nervous and they help put me at ease'. One person said, "He took time to explain the treatment. He showed me the problem on x-ray and what he had done. He gave me confidence in what he was doing. Every procedure he is doing he explains what is happening, I was given advice in keeping my mouth clean. I've been to the hygienist and I have to say he's the best hygienist I've ever met'.
We found suitable arrangements were in place to protect people from abuse and the risk of abuse. Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work. We also found an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety of people using the service and others.
