During a routine inspection
The plans of care that we viewed showed us that the care provided was person centred and ensured that people received care that met their needs as safely as practicable. People were offered information on healthy lifestyles which could affect their oral or dental health.
The practice followed the Department of Heath's guidance on infection control with regard to sterilisation and hand wash information and controls. The provider kept an up-to-date record of what rooms and equipment were cleaned and sterilised.
The provider took steps to ensure that staff were employed only after appropriate identity and previous employment checks were carried out.
The practice sought the views of people who used the service and used this information to make improvements where required. We saw evidence where this had been done and also where issues had been raised at staff and clinical meetings. Information relevant to the public was published on the provider's web site.
