Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
By 4.00pm on 31 October 2023, the registered provider must ensure a registered nurse provides daily clinical oversight of the home and the most significant risks to service users including but not limited to those with choking risk, those requiring time specific medication and issues identified within this notice. The registered provider must notify the Commission of the name of this designated individual along with details of relevant qualification/ skills within two working days
By 4.00pm on 31 October 2023, the registered provider must ensure a registered nurse audits and reviews the needs of all service users with continence needs and the delivery of continence care by care staff within the home. The registered provider must ensure all service users have access to a sufficient supply of continence aids to meet their needs. The registered provider must also ensure that there are sufficient staff numbers deployed to meet the continence needs of service users, at all times.
By 4.00pm on 31 October 2023 the registered provider must ensure a registered nurse audits and reviews the individual personal hygiene needs of all service users and the delivery of personal hygiene support by care staff within the home. The registered provider must ensure that there are sufficient
care staff deployed to meet the personal hygiene needs of service users at all times with regards to access to baths and showers.
By 4.00pm on 31 October 2023, the registered provider must ensure a registered pharmacist or registered nurse oversees the management of medicines with the home to ensure service users are receiving their medicines safely and, as prescribed
By 4.00pm on 31 October 2023, the registered provider must ensure a registered nurse identifies and reviews the medicines of all service users on a pureed diet. The registered provider must ensure that immediate advice is obtained from the Speech and Language Therapy Team (SALT) in order to ensure all medicines are in a safe formulation to give to those service users.
By 4.00pm on 31 October 2023, the registered provider must ensure a registered nurse, audits and reviews the fire safety needs of service users living in the home, to ensure service user PEEPs accurately reflect their needs. The registered provider must ensure that staffing levels at night are
reviewed based on the dependency and evacuation needs of service users to ensure staffing levels are safe.
By 4:00pm on 03 November 2023, the registered provider shall provide a report to the Commission setting out a summary of the audit and reviews confirming compliance with the above conditions. Thereafter, on the first day of each month the registered provider must submit a monthly report to the
Commission about the outcome of the review and audits. This report must include actions taken as a result of the reviews and audits to ensure any risks identified have been assessed and mitigated appropriately. This report must specify when the actions have been completed and highlight those outstanding actions along with details of who is responsible to ensure that the risks are mitigated
