During a routine inspection
Three of the people we spoke with told us they had been attending the practice for their dental care over periods ranging from 12 to 30 years. All the people we spoke with expressed confidence and trust in the dentist and hygienist. One person described the staff as 'excellent'.
People told us that they had no difficulty arranging appointments and that in emergencies they could be seen the same day. One person said, 'I am here because I have toothache. I think I have an abscess. I phoned yesterday afternoon and they got me in this morning'.
People also said that if they required treatment they were always given comprehensive information about why it was needed and available options were discussed with them. They told us that they were always asked about their medical history. They said they were given printed treatment plans that set out what treatment was required and a breakdown of its costs. They also told us that they were given advice about oral health and hygiene.
