During a routine inspection
Patients also told us they were very happy with their care and treatment at the practice. One person told us, 'I get extremely nervous, but they are really good, they talk to me and put me at my ease.' A second person said, 'I feel fully involved. My care is discussed in detail, and they are very nice and friendly. I have absolute confidence in my dentist.'
We saw that patients had a full assessment of their oral health needs carried out at their first appointment, and that this assessment was discussed with them and recorded. Their treatment options and any associated risks were also discussed with them and their choices were respected.
The practice followed best practice guidance regarding the control of infection and had systems in place to protect people from infection. The practice was clean and hygienic. One patient described it as being "immaculate".
All dental professionals at the practice worked hard to continuously monitor their performance and to improve their practice by sharing knowledge and experience on a very regular basis.
Patients were encouraged to express any concerns or dissatisfaction they might have. Complaints were responded to professionally.
