During a routine inspection
People's health records were checked regularly and health conditions which could affect their treatment were investigated at each dental appointment. This ensured that a person would only be treated when the dentist was satisfied that it was safe to do so.
One person said, "The practice provides a very good service and the staff are so polite and seem to get on well with people".
Bretton Dental Care practice followed Department of Health (DH) guidance for infection control. Records we reviewed demonstrated to us that all staff had received training on infection control. People told us that whenever they visited the practice it is always clean and looked hygienic.
Staff were only recruited into the practice where they could provide photographic identity, previous employment history, previous job references, and were issued with a satisfactory criminal records bureau check before starting work.
The provider collected people's views of the service on an annual basis and used the information to make improvements to the service. People we spoke with told us that they had never had a cause to complain.
