During a routine inspection
Patients were happy with the quality of treatment provided. For example, one patient said, 'the dentist always seems to take great care and the work he does lasts a long time.' Another patient said, 'the dentist is really experienced and knows what he is doing.'
The service was undergoing significant refurbishment on the day of our visit. Patients commented that they liked the new d'cor and considered it very modern. Patients said the practice was always very clean and they observed appropriate levels of hygiene. Effective systems for infection control were being implemented in the practice and dental instruments were decontaminated in a way that minimised the risk of infection.
Patients felt safe with the dentist and confident in their skills. Staff demonstrated the knowledge and skills needed to protect people from possible abuse. There was an effective system in place for dealing with complaints.
