During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made

At our previous inspection, we found that there was no safeguarding adults policy. Both the dentist and the nurse did not have up to date safeguarding vulnerable adults training. At this review,we were sent certificates that showed that training had taken place and staff told us how training had improved their knowledge. We were sent an up to date safeguarding policy. Staff could tell us how they would report any allegations of abuse appropriately.

During a routine inspection

We found that adequate steps were taken to ensure children were safeguarded from abuse. However, we found there were inadequate arrangements in place to safeguard vulnerable adults and have asked the provider to take remedial action.

We spoke to six people and looked at ten surveys completed by people who had used the service over the last six months. We found that people were satisfied with the care and treatment they received. People told us that the care was "top class" and "excellent." People told us they were able to book appointments in a timely manner and that they were involved in planning their care.

The environment was clean. We found that infection control was adhered to and that there were systems in place to ensure equipment was decontaminated appropriately. Clinical waste was disposed of appropriately.

We found that regular quality checks were completed in order to improve the service. People's views were sought by regular surveys and there was a comments box available in the waiting area.
