During a routine inspection
Due to the limited verbal communication of some people it was difficult to discuss their care and treatment with every person we came into contact with, but we were able to observe people and speak with staff to help us understand the experiences of everyone.
People's needs were risk assessed for all activities undertaken both in the home and out in the community. This showed that people were given support at a level which encouraged independence and assured that their individual needs were met.
People told us that they attended a variety of activities outside the home during the day and the evening. Two of the people we spoke with told us about the two holidays they had had and how they had enjoyed them both.
