During a routine inspection
We observed people's confidentiality and dignity was respected by the staff. People said they were treated with respect and staff were helpful. One person said, 'I have visited this surgery since I had teeth. That is some years ago.'
People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. All those we spoke with told us they were happy with the treatment they received and the advice they were given by the dentist at their appointments.
People were cared for in a clean and hygienic environment. One person said since the surgery was an old house there was very little they could do to modernise it. They mentioned that there was a lack of car parking and disabled access to the surgery.
People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. One person said 'If I can't make the appointment they will give a new appointment." All three children told us they did not mind visiting the dentist. One person said,' I am not frightened. He is alright.'
The provider had an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the people using the service and others.
