During a routine inspection
Consultations took place in private rooms to ensure privacy and maintain confidentiality. Patients were able to make comments about their experience via a feedback box situated outside the main waiting area. Patients we spoke with said that they were always treated with respect. They told us : 'I always know whats going on, the dentist is so calming and treatments are always explained well'.
Treatments records were paper based and we sampled 6 patient records. We saw that patients completed a health declaration prior to any consultation with the dentist and before commencing any treatment.
We found the practice has 2 dental surgeries on the ground floor and a hygienist surgery, staffed by 2 dentists, 4 part time hygienists and 6 dental nurses, 2 part time decomntamination staff and reception staff.
