During a routine inspection
We saw details of both NHS and private treatments were clearly displayed in the reception area. The practice web site contained information about various treatments available and included a fee guide. This meant people who used the service understood the care and treatment choices available to them, including how much they cost.
We saw there were detailed infection control policies and procedures in place which were being followed. This was to help prevent or reduce the risk and spread of infection.
We looked at staff training records and the practice training plan. Staff confirmed the training they received. All of the people we spoke with were very positive about the quality and professionalism of staff. "They are patient and have time to explain things" and "I would not dream of going anywhere else because of the team here" were two comments made.
We saw the practice were part of the NHS Quality Assurance scheme and also the British Dental Association good practice scheme. This showed the provider welcomed external verification and confirmation of the quality of their practice.
