During a routine inspection
We found people were assessed before they received treatment and they were risk assessed to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Staff we spoke with were able to clearly describe the different types and signs of abuse. We found documentary evidence that staff received training in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. This ensured people who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
Treatment rooms we viewed were cleaned after every treatment and clinical equipment was removed to be sterilised and cleaned. Staff were knowledgeable of the infection control policy. They told us they had infection control and hand decontamination training.
We found staff received appropriate professional development. Staff we spoke with told us they received regular training and professional development.
There was documentary evidence that people who used the service, their representatives and staff were asked for their views about their care and treatment and they were acted on.
