During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 5 November 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place. The practice had systems to manage risks. Castle Dental Practice is part of Rodericks Dental Partners a dental group provider. The practice is in Sheffield and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was step free access to the practice and car parking was also available at the practice. The practice had 5 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 3 dentists, 6 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist, the head receptionist and the practice manager. The team was supported by the group compliance officer during the assessment.

During a routine inspection

We spoke privately with four people who were attending the practice for check ups or

treatment. All four people told us that they were "very pleased" and "more than satisfied"

with all aspects of the service. They told us that staff were "very friendly" and

"professional". People told us they had "no grounds for complaint". Everyone commented

on the cleanliness of the practice. They said they regularly saw staff making sure that the surgery was clean, tidy and hygenic.
