During a routine inspection
The patients we spoke with were very satisfied with the service. They described the surgery as "Very well organised" and the staff as "Really polite." They told us staff treated them respectfully and ensured they had given their consent to care and treatment in advance. Patients were aware of their treatment plans and had been given options about the treatment they received. We were told staff were "Very supportive" and gave "Good advice."
We were told that the the premises were kept clean, and that staff were seen to wash their hands, and wear gloves etc when carrying out procedures. Comments on cleanliness from patients included "Yes, it's very clean" and "It always looks fine." People told us they would know who to make a complaint to if they had one, though none of the people we spoke with had any complaints. Comments on this subject included "No complaints. I'm really happy here" and "Nice staff and lovely dentists. They make you feel relaxed."
We did not ask patients about staff recruitment, though we did review staff recruitment records during our visit and found that more work was needed to ensure all the correct documentation was on file.
